Sie war schon vor „Popstars“ eine Siegerin!
Sie ist erst 16 Jahre jung, „das Baby“, „das Küken“, „die Kleine“. Sie ist leicht so leicht wie ein Musikfloh (43 Kilo), zart wie eine Fee (163 cm) und ihre goldene Stimme klingt irgendwie nach Schneewittchen, wenn sie den sieben Zwergen vorsingt und die halb ohnmächtig werden vor Glück.
Bei „Popstars“ wurde sie von allen „Küken“ genannt. In Wirklichkeit ist Mandy das „Monrose“-Mitglied mit der
meisten Bühnenerfahrung.
2001, mit elf Jahren, gewann sie den „Kiddy-Contest“ von ZDF und ORF, eine Talentshow für Kinder. Ihr Siegertitel: „Daylight in your Eyes“ von den „No Angels“.
Sie sagt: „Das war mein schönster Augenblick im Leben, ich durfte die ,No Angels‘ treffen. Mein Traum war immer, ein Star zu werden.“
